Spokane Shadow
Larkin Russell grew up in Spokane, Washington, where she began playing soccer at the age of five. She stood out early and later went on to play college soccer for the Portland Pilots at the University of Portland.
After graduating earlier than planned, in December 2019, Larkin wanted to pursue a professional career and chose to move abroad. One season with Hapoel Ra’anana in Israel was followed by two years with AC Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus before she was recruited by Växjö DFF ahead of the 2023 season.
In Växjö, Larkin quickly became a key player and one of the team’s most important goal scorers. Her versatility as an almost two-footed winger made her valuable on both flanks, and she combined her attacking drive with a physical style of play that often gave the team an advantage in one-on-one situations. In total, she scored 31 goals during her three seasons with the club.
