Isabella D’Aquila comes from Mission Viejo, California, where she started playing soccer at the age of five. At eleven, she was recruited to So Cal Blues, where she had the opportunity to play in the prestigious ECNL (Elite Clubs National League) in the United States.
During her time at JSerra Catholic High School, D’Aquila received accolades such as “National Gatorade High School Player of the Year” for 2017–2018 and “ALL-USA Girls Soccer Player of the Year” for two consecutive years, 2017–18 and 2018–19.
D’Aquila later played NCAA Division 1 college soccer for the Santa Clara Broncos, where she scored 50 goals and provided 16 assists in 78 matches, making her a highly sought-after pick in the 2023 NWSL draft. She was selected as the 12th pick by the Portland Thorns.
During her two seasons with top-tier team Portland Thorns, D’Aquila played 29 matches. She scored her first professional goal on May 24, 2024, against Orlando Pride.
Izzy D’Aquila is known for her goal-scoring ability and talent for delivering in decisive moments. She has also represented the United States in youth national teams at both the U17 and U20 levels.
In January 2025, Izzy joined Malmö FF.
