Australia
Oakville Ravens
Courtney Nevin was born in Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia, and began playing football with the local team Oakville Ravens. She showed great attacking potential early on, scoring eleven goals in 25 matches for the Football NSW Institute at the age of 16. That same year, she moved to Western Sydney Wanderers and made her debut in Australia’s top division. Over her three seasons at the club, she developed into a key player and was gradually converted into a left-back. The position change, from an attacking role to one with significantly more defensive responsibility, has often been highlighted by former coaches as a testament to her work ethic, attitude, and ability to grow.
In 2021, she took the next step in her career by signing with top club Melbourne Victory, where Nevin became an Australian champion at age 20 as the team won the A-League Women Championship in 2022.
In March of the same year, she moved to Sweden and the OBOS Damallsvenskan, signing with Hammarby IF. After a year in Stockholm, Nevin was loaned out to Leicester City in the English Women’s Super League, a move that later became permanent.
Nevin has also represented Australia at both youth and senior levels. She made her senior debut at the age of 19 and was later that same year selected for Australia’s Olympic squad for the Tokyo Games. She also featured in the World Cup on home soil in the summer of 2023.
In the summer of 2025, Courtney Nevin signed a three-year contract with Malmö FF.
