Oliver Berg broke through with Odds BK in Norway’s Tippeligaen in 2015. Three years later, he moved to Sweden, first joining Dalkurd FF before spending two and a half years at GIF Sundsvall. However, it was at Kalmar FF where Oliver Berg gained recognition from a wider football audience.
In his debut year at Kalmar FF, with Henrik Rydström as coach, he recorded 17 points (combinations of goals and assists) and was among the top players in the Allsvenskan points rankings. The following year, with nine goals and seven assists, he had another strong season, which attracted interest from other clubs. Ahead of the 2023 season, Oliver Berg joined Djurgårdens IF, where he topped the club’s internal points chart with three goals and five assists before signing with Malmö FF in the summer.
