Melker Ellborg joined Malmö FF at the age of 15. Until then, the goalkeeper had played for the Kalmar club IFK Berga. In 2020, Ellborg signed a senior contract with Malmö FF, and in 2022, the contract was extended through the 2025 season. In the fall of 2023, Melker Ellborg was loaned out to the Malmö club Ariana FC, which plays in Division 1 Södra. For the 2024 season, he was loaned out again, this time to Trelleborgs FF in Superettan.
