Jens Stryger began his professional football career with Brøndby IF, making his debut in the Danish Superliga during the 2009/2010 season. He played a total of 105 competitive matches for Brøndby before moving on to FC Nordsjælland, where he became teammates with Anders Christiansen in 2013.
He then left Denmark to play for Austria Wien, staying for five seasons before moving to Udinese in Serie A. In total, he played 142 Serie A matches, scoring five goals and providing nine assists for the northern Italian club. After his stint in Udine, Stryger signed with Turkish club Trabzonspor before joining Malmö FF ahead of the 2024 season.
In addition to club football, Stryger has been a regular starter for the Danish national team since his debut in 2016. He has earned 54 caps, scored three goals, and has participated in two World Cups and one European Championship.
