Erik Botheim’s senior football career began at the age of 15 when he was promoted to the senior squad of his hometown club Lyn in 2015. That same year, he scored his first goal for the club, and the following year, he was signed by the prominent Norwegian club Rosenborg. After four years at Rosenborg, the forward moved north to Bodø/Glimt, where he quickly found success. Following standout performances, including scoring against AS Roma in European competition, Botheim was transferred to Russian side Krasnodar. However, due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he never played a match for the club.
In the summer of 2022, he signed for Salernitana in Serie A, where he made 35 appearances over two years. Ahead of the 2024 season, he joined Henrik Rydström’s team, and in his first season, he has recorded an impressive tally of points (goals and assists).
