Emmanuel Ekong

Emmanuel Ekong was born in Italy but received his football education at IF Brommapojkarna. At the age of 16, Emmanuel moved back to Italy to become a youth professional at Empoli. Four years later, he made his Serie A debut, and in October of last year, he also represented the Swedish U21 national team for the first time.

During the autumn season start, he made 15 substitute appearances in Serie A and two starts in the Coppa Italia, where he scored in both cup matches. The season before, the technical 22-year-old spent on loan at NK Istra, where he received regular playing time in the Croatian top league.

Emmanuel Ekong signed a five-season contract in January 2025.
