Daniel Gudjohnsen joined Malmö FF in 2022 and immediately took on a leading role in MFF’s U19 team. The Icelandic forward, with a background in the youth academies of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, has made several appearances for Iceland’s youth national teams.

During the 2023 preseason, Gudjohnsen joined the first team’s training camp in Estepona, where he made his first-team debut in a match against Vålerenga. The forward also saw playing time in the Allsvenskan preseason game against Öster at Eleda Stadion, and his official Allsvenskan debut came later that spring against Degerfors.
