Katariina Kosola is from Hämeenlinna in southern Finland, where she began playing for the local team HJS. After making her senior debut with Hämeenlinnan Härmä, Kosola moved to Helsinki in 2019 to play for HFA (Helsinki Football Academy).

Shortly thereafter, Kosola transitioned to professional football when she signed with HJK in Finland’s top league in 2020. Her career then took her to Sweden, where she played in the OBOS Damallsvenskan for Umeå IK and KIF Örebro before joining BK Häcken ahead of the 2023 season as an attacking winger.

In addition to her experience in the OBOS Damallsvenskan, Kosola has played Champions League football with BK Häcken. In November 2023, she scored the decisive goal in BK Häcken’s 2–1 victory over Real Madrid.

After representing Finland at youth international levels, Katariina Kosola is now a regular player for Finland’s senior national team.

In January 2025, Katariina joined Malmö FF.
