Anders Pålsson’s extensive and deeply rooted commitment to Malmö FF spans more than five decades. In 2010, Anders Pålsson was elected to the club’s Board of Directors, and in December 2018 he took up the position of Chairman.

During his time as Chairman, Anders Pålsson has led Malmö FF through a period marked by sporting success and financial growth. Under Pålsson’s chairmanship, Malmö FF has carried out significant development projects across the youth academy, the women’s and men’s teams, as well as the club’s organisation as a whole. Malmö FF has also navigated both the coronavirus pandemic and other demanding challenges in a strong manner.

During Anders Pålsson’s tenure as Chairman, the club’s men’s team has won four Swedish Championship titles and two Swedish Cup titles, and has competed in one Champions League group stage and five Europa League group or league stages. The process to ensure an orderly succession has been ongoing throughout the autumn.

The Nomination Committee has now announced that it intends to propose a new Chairman at the Annual General Meeting in March 2026. The Nomination Committee’s proposal will be presented to the members no later than two weeks before the Annual General Meeting.

“I look back with great joy on a long period at Malmö FF, where together we have been able to celebrate many major successes. These successes are rooted in strong teamwork, both on and off the pitch, and having been part of that at the club closest to my heart is something that means an incredible amount to me and that I will carry with me forever. I am convinced that Malmö FF has a bright future, and after the Annual General Meeting in March I look forward to following the club from the stands as it moves towards new successes.”
