At the age of 16, Petronella Winblad joined Malmö FF ahead of the 2022 season in Division 2. Her competitive debut came a few weeks later in the District Championship, where she scored twice in the group stage match against Vinslöv.
Alongside her performances in MFF, she also gained international experience with Sweden’s youth national teams, representing the country in both European Championship qualifiers and international tournaments. After three consecutive league titles and promotion to the Damallsvenskan with Malmö FF, she moved to the United States to play college soccer in Cincinnati, Ohio. With new experiences under her belt, Petronella returned to Malmö FF in the spring of 2025.
